Damn the Torpedoes!

Based on the response to my "trial balloon" yesterday, asking who
would be willing to invest in a project that I can't even tell you
anything about yet--except that I think it has a high chance of
being the most effective means yet for spreading the principles of
non-aggression, self-ownership, and true liberty--the answer from a
whole lot of you was clearly, "Damn the torpedoes, full speed
ahead!" Well, the sooner we get started, the sooner this thing can
start having a positive impact. So, let's do it! (I'm sure I'm not
the only one who feels a little desperation and eagerness to fix
things, as we watch the U.S. empire rapidly devolve into a third-
world police state.)

I must say how very grateful and humbled I am that so many of you,
without hesitation or reserve, expressed a willingness and
eagerness to support this "top secret" project, just on my say so,
before I can even tell you anything specific about it. I am
confident that you will not be disappointed, or I wouldn't be doing
it at all. (Plus, you'll be getting paid back anyway.) Again, none
of the funds received will go to pay me for anything. It will all
go to buy needed equipment, and to pay one or two others to help
make this project a reality. Of course, the more we have to start
with, the more we can do, and the better it will be. At the same
time, I got enough of a response to my "testing-the-waters" message
yesterday that if chipping in would pose any financial hardship on
you, feel free to sit this one out. And if you aren't comfortable
supporting something you know so little about--which would be
perfectly understandable--just skip it for now. When the project
publicly launches, you'll still have a chance to help support it
and spread it then.

The deal is simple: for every $50 you contribute now, you'll get
back $60 very soon after this project goes public. (A few of you
said you didn't want the extra $10, and a couple didn't even want
the original contribution back, but we can argue about that later.)
With a project of this size and importance, I'm scared to promise a
particular release date--we'd rather it be perfect and a bit late,
than mediocre and on time--but the goal is to publicly launch it
within a couple months. I don't want to sound overly optimistic,
but I really do see this as having the potential to be a far more
effective vehicle for spreading the message of self-ownership, non-
aggression, voluntaryism and true individual liberty, than anything
else I've ever done, maybe more than anything anyone has done. To
get this thing moving quickly, it would be great if most of the
contributions could happen within the next week or so. So, without
further ado, here's how to help:

To contribute by PayPal, send funds to "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.," but
please include a note saying "JO," so I don't mistake it for a book
order or some random donation. For those who would prefer to
contribute by cash, check, money order, or chunks of metal, you can
use the address below. While payments should be made out to "Larken
Rose," if you can also include a note somewhere saying "JO," then I
'll know what it's for. (After the thing launches, you'll know what
"JO" stands for.) Also, if you do it by mail, and want your
contribution to be acknowledged and paid back, please make sure you
include a return address somewhere in there.

A lot of thinking and planning has already gone into this project,
and there isn't a whole lot more we can do until we have the means
to start actually putting to together. But thanks to you, we should
soon be off and running at full speed. Again, to those who have
agreed to make this thing happen, I can't thank you enough for
showing this level of trust and faith in a project that I can't
even tell you anything about yet. I intend to work my butt off to
see to it that that trust and faith is rewarded.

Sincerely,

(P.S. In my last message, I used the word "shares," and a couple
people pointed out that that sort of implies investment security
stuff, which the parasites love to stick their noses into. Well,
this isn't anything like that--you're not buying partial ownership
in some company--so I'll stop using that term.)

(P.P.S. By the time the project launches publicly, we'll have a way
to donate by Bitcoin, too, but I've been too disorganized so far to
make that happen yet.)

Just On My Say So?

Dear Subscriber,

I'm starting work on a major but secret project which I think will
spread the principles of self-ownership, non-aggression, and
voluntaryism, farther than anything I've ever done before--maybe
farther than anything anyone has ever done before. However, it's a
little tough to embark on a major project with a budget of zero,
and it's tough to get people to invest in something you can't tell
them anything about.

But a curious thought occurred to me. I wonder how many people have
followed my stuff for long enough, and liked what I've produced so
far, enough that they would invest a bit in something that is
almost a complete unknown, just on my say so. (I'm not even saying
anyone SHOULD do such a thing; just wondering how many would.) I
really do think this could have a pretty huge positive impact, but
I see a minimum start-up cost of between $2,000 and $3,000.

So right now, just as an experiment, I wanted to just ask how many
people on this list would "blindly" support such a thing. I'm
thinking one "share" would be $50, and each share, within a couple
months (IF this thing happens), will pay out $60, to keep things
really simple. But I can't do it at all if we wouldn't quickly sell
40 "shares" at the absolute minimum. So do NOT send any money for
this yet! At this point, I'm only ASKING what you think you WOULD
invest if I go ahead with this now. (Obviously, the project won't
be a secret AFTER the thing is publicly launched, so it's not like
you'd NEVER know what you invested in.)

So how many people on this list are brave and/or stupid enough to
invest $50 (or more) in what is basically a complete unknown, just
on my say so? (If you're wondering, exactly ZERO of the start-up
cost would go to me personally; it's for specific equipment, and
paying someone else a bit to help me with the project.)

Sincerely,

Larken Rose

Video Contest Fail

(Okay, let's try this again WITH a subject line.)

Dear Subscriber,

As I just announced, my video, "It Can't Happen Here!"--despite
overwhelming popular support on YouTube and on the InfoWars web
site--won exactly jack squat in Alex jones' "Operation Paul Revere"
video contest. (It didn't make the top three.) Yeah, it's a big
disappointment, but we've had lots of practice with disappointments
over the last eight years. Sorry to be such a downer. In case
you're wondering, I'm incapable of giving up anyway.

A few people have already asked where they can send donations, and
I seem to have run out of pride enough to argue about it. Our
PayPal account is under "This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it." and our "snail
mail" address is below. I don't want to be too much of a party-
pooper, because there are a LOT of very positive things happening,
and about to happen. (It's just that they never seem to happen to
our finances.) Oh well. No one said being an enemy of the state was
a lucrative hobby.

Operation Paul Revere - No Dice

Dear Subscriber,

Thanks for all the support from people hoping "It Can't Happen
Here!" would do well in Alex Jones' "Operation Paul Revere" video
contest. It didn't place in the top three. Back to destitution and
hopelessness. Yippee.
